Plump 2.0

Over the past few months, we’ve been working on a major redesign of Plump’s pricing and service offerings, touching every aspect of the platform. After reviewing tons of feedback and learning from user experience, we’re introducing two changes that will simplify and speed up the user experience:

  • Subscriptions are replaced with one-time payments
  • Passive plan is now free

What are the changes and why are we making them?

A simpler approach

Subscription system works badly for the active approach even in theory – active job seekers need a new job as soon as possible, and the service needs to keep subscribers as long as possible to earn money. We’ve tried to implement this anyway, assuming we keep candidates for at least 3 months – the average optimised time from search to offer, but this approach createssome limits we don’t want to follow.

Another problem we found with recurring active searches is that 10 applications per week is not enough for the average job seeker to get an offer, which is contrary to our overall purpose.

With this in mind, we decided to switch to a one-off payment for Active plan customers

Active plan updates

This change also means there is no longer a recurring application for this plan.

This flow is now linear: starting with the candidate information gathering, resume enhancement, Plump Agent applies to hundreds of good-fit jobs in the first few days, and resumes the management process as soon as we get the first response from recruiters.

Passive plan updates

We’re also making a Passive plan free to fight with the tedious LinkedIn passive job search. Plump Passive Agent shows insane results produced by the comprehensive recommendation engine that continues to evolve.

Passive flow remains recurrent, meaning we’re indefinitely searching for the top-3 jobs inside our 200k jobs pool daily, and send you notifications to preferred communication channels if we found any that think you’ll like. One click to approve and the application is sent.

Other product changes

In addition to all above, we want to make Plump as transparent to clients as possible. We are going to launch 2 public spaces: public changelog – starting today, and voteable roadmap soon. We’re committed to maintaining these resources, so you’ll always know what’s happening behind the scenes

Our ask

These changes mark a significant milestone for Plump, but it’s just the beginning. Your suggestions and ideas help shape our future. If you have any thoughts, comments, or feature requests, let us know. We’re here to listen and adapt
